Thieving Harry’s is a family-run café bar in an old fruit and veg warehouse on Humber Street, right by the water. They serve freshly prepared food, artisan coffee and have plenty of space to spread out with a laptop.

Cocoa Chocolatier & Bakehouse is based in Trinity Market in the city centre. It specialises in artisan chocolates, cakes and locally roasted coffee, and has a loyal following for its brownies and celebration cakes. 

It is more of a treat stop than an all-day study base, but it is ideal for a short laptop session with something sweet.

8. Herby’s Delicatessen, Carr Lane

Herby’s is a Hull institution, first opened in the 1980s and now based on Carr Lane. It is known for generous sandwiches, paninis, pastries and very competitive prices, which makes it popular for quick lunches and takeaway study fuel.
